40 days and 40 nights
Incidentally 40 days and 40 nights is what you have left to end what was, to say the least a very interesting year.
2020, good riddance but wait, 2020 was in fact a great year for so many so let’s not shun its gifts. Stop and reflect on the year and you will find lessons that will fuel your growth for the next 40 days and 40 nights.
They say it takes 21 days to build a habit, I believe that t takes 40 days and as with every year on December 31, I personally will fire myself and then take a few days to recharge, reflect and set up my next first 90 days of goal setting, planning, and achieving and I invite you to do the same.
Now with 40 days left to end the year, this is the final stretch where you need to give it your all and here are the steps to get you there:
Game Changer: choose one thing that will be a game changer for your life and commit to do everything in your power to do it. No matter how small or big… one way to stay committed is to tell someone about your game changer. I personally announce it on instagram and LinkedIn stories. For example, I announced that I will be posting this blog by lunch time and so there was no room for me to procrastinate because credibility is key!
Take ACTION: take that first step towards the goal you set… after all it’s only 40 days. Take it light and tell yourself that you can’t move mountains but you can for sure start shoveling a few pebbles out of the way.
Momentum: when you take that first step, something amazing happens, the brain adapts to the stimulus and you gain momentum and the task of a few pebbles soon becomes a bucket load, then two, then; you don’t want to stop! 40 days later you will see that mountain shifting and it will compel you to keep at it.
DONE IS BETTER THAN PERFECT: listen to how you talk to your self. That little voice inside your head can very easily be sabotaging your growth. it’s easier to believe that 40 days are insufficient and there is little you can accomplish … albeit -doing something is better than dreaming and dealing with the regret of inaction. And trust me the voice of accomplishment is much more satisfying than that of wallowing!
You have 40 days!
There is no time like the present!
Done is better than perfect!
Take action now and if you still feel overwhelmed; well:
